* COMIDA tax breaks cost Monroe County residents over $36 million from 2002-2005.
* The overwhelming majority of businesses getting COMIDA subsidies didnt create the jobs they promised. In fact a third of those businesses cut their workforce after pocketing the tax breaks. Yet Maggie Brooks COMIDA allowed the dead-beat businesses to keep their subsidies!
* COMIDA continues to allow contractors to bring in non-local workers for subsidized construction and allows COMIDA-subsidized business to pay Wal Mart wages.
